Chola Recipe

INGREDIENTS

250 gm Kabuli Chana (SOAKED IN WATER WHOLE NIGHT)

For Masala-

3-4 onions (cut into 4 pieces)

4-5 piece garlic

1 slice ginger

4-5 pieces Green chili

Dry Masala

3 piece cloves

1 small piece cinnamon

1 piece cardamom

1 bay leaves

1 tsp funnel (SAUF)

4-5 piece Black pepper

For cooking-

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

salt for taste

1 onion (finely chopped)

1 tomato (chopped)

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp cumin powder

OIL for cooking

glass of water

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and soak all the grams for overnight.

    Now in a cooker boil all the grams for 15 minutes until it get cooked properly.

    Take a jar, add all the onions, garlic, chilli and ginger and make it paste.

    same as grind the tomatoes and keep it in a bowl aside.

    Now take a pan. let it heat.

    Add all the dry masala and roast it for 3 minutes and then grind it in a powder form.

    Now take a pan add 2 tbsp of oil and let it heat.

    Add cumin seeds and let it roast. and add chopped onion and let it take golden brown color.

    Now Add the ginger garlic paste which we grind earlier and wait for 5 minutes so that paste will roast and take a brown color.

    Add tomato purie and let it cook untill oil comes up.

    Now add turmeric, cumin powder, and a pinch of salt and 2 spoon water so that all the paste get mix well.

    Now add the boiled grams and stir it well to mix with the whole masala and let it cook for 5 minutes. Now add dry chola masala and blend it properly.

    Add a glass of water and salt and let it cook in a medium flame for 15 minutes.

    Now serve in a bowl and garnish it with some green coriander leaves. and enjoy your chola with bhatura or Rice.
